Lampascioni are strictly recognized as “wild onion“, in fact they are nothing more than onion-like bulbs.
Rich in mineral salts and vitamins, they are harvested and peeled manually in order to obtain the heart of the lampascione.
They are a typical traditional product with a strong bitter taste, excellent when eaten accompanied by a slice of meat or as an aperitif. Lampascioni have numerous beneficial properties: they are rich in iron, potassium and calcium, and they also have a high diuretic property.
