The village of Rachtades is located at an altitude of 70 meters, about 200 people, in the vicinity of the village of Armenades and the village of Kavadades, northwest of the island.
Rachtades is built on a cliff in the northwestern part of the island from which the village probably got its name because Rachtades means “high nest”, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards
The old house, in traditional Greek style, built of stone and sturdy wood.
